Downtown hotels in Little Rock offer more than just hotel rooms and amenities. They are within walking distance of shopping, attractions and Arkansas history.

Whether traveling to Little Rock, Arkansas on business or a family vacation, downtown hotels provide visitors with easy access to all that the Capital City has to offer. Shopping, dining and entertainment are plentiful and varied and there’s always something happening.

Attractions in downtown Little Rock include the William J. Clinton Presidential Center, the Heifer International Center, the Old State House Museum, the Historic Arkansas Museum, River Market, Riverfront Park and the Museum of Discovery to name just a few. Concerts, art exhibits, children’s activities, theater, festival sand arts and craft shows are also part of the Little Rock scene.

All of the following hotels are within eight blocks of each other on the south side of the Arkansas River and some hotels offer river-view rooms. Most offer shuttle service to Little Rock National Airport.

  • Doubletree Hotel, 424 West Markham

About one block east of the Old State House Museum, the Doubletree Hotel offers a choice of city view or river-view rooms and suites that include free high-speed Internet access, cable TV with pay-per-view, coffee maker, refrigerator and wet bar.   • Capital Hotel, 111 West Markham Street

Across the street from the Statehouse Convention Center, this boutique-style hotel was completely renovated in 2007, blending a historic old hotel with modern, upscale amenities. The Capital Hotel offers 126 rooms and suites with designer linens, 32-inch/42-inch LCD HDTV, and complimentary high-speed wireless Internet access. Two restaurants are located in the hotel, Ashely’s, serving American cuisine and the Capital Bar and Grill, a Little Rock landmark.

  • The Peabody, 3 Statehouse Plaza

Adjacent to the Statehouse Convention Center and billed as the only 5-Duck hotel in Little Rock, the Peabody continues the tradition of ducks in the lobby fountain just like the original Peabody in Memphis. This AAA Four-Diamond hotel offers 396 rooms and suites including some with views of the Arkansas River. Rooms feature luxurious bedding, complimentary high-speed Internet access, and pay-per-view television programming. The hotel has two lounge/bars and the Capriccio Grill Italian Steakhouse restaurant.

  • Courtyard by Marriott Downtown, 521 President Clinton Avenue

The closest hotel to the Clinton Presidential Center, Heifer International Center and across from the River Market, the Courtyard by Marriott Downtown offers 120 rooms with luxury bedding, free high-speed wired and wireless Internet access, living space, coffee maker and mini-refrigerator. The hotel has a modern-decor boutique look and includes a lounge, indoor pool and spa, fitness center, and the Courtyard Café offering a daily breakfast buffet or cooked to order breakfast.
